Our college achieved excellent results in the 10th National College Students' Academic and Creative Competition on Energy Economics in 2024

On April 13th, the final of the Sichuan-Yunnan-Tibet division of the 10th National College Students' Academic and Creative Competition on Energy Economics was held in Southwest Petroleum University. This year's competition was launched in October 2023, with 561 colleges and universities across the country participating. There were 17,994 registered teams, nearly 100,000 participants, and 8,963 valid entries. The number of participating universities, teams, and participants all reached new highs. In the Sichuan-Yunnan-Tibet division, nearly 500 teachers and students from 37 colleges and universities participated, with 606 valid entries. After the initial review and school-level competitions, finally 130 works entered the final of the regional competition. Our representative team of won 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 1 third prize.

China National College Student Competition on Energy Economics (abbreviated as CNCEE) is a national-level event held by the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics Research (abbreviated as the Chinese "Two Methods" Research Society) and organized by the Special Committee on Low-Carbon Development Management of the Chinese "Two Methods" Research Society. The competition was founded in 2015 and was successfully included in the competition catalogue of the "2022 National Undergraduate Competition Analysis Report" by the Chinese Society for Higher Education in March 2023. The purpose of the competition is to focus on energy economic issues, cultivate students' innovative abilities, and provide opportunities and platforms for excellent creative ideas in the field of energy economics to be showed.

The organization and participation in this event have provided a broader platform for the teachers and students of our school, encouraging students to apply what they have learned, show themselves, continuously explore more potentials and academic development spaces, and strive to contribute to the national cause of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and add luster to the discipline construction of the school!
