On the afternoon of May 25th, the first "Zhi He Cup" faculty-student badminton competition of 2024 was successfully held in the gymnasium. This competition attracted the active participation of graduate students and faculty members who love badminton. The participants were divided into groups through a draw and competed in mixed doubles.

      The preliminary round adopted a best-of-three sets to 11 points system, while the knockout stage used a best-of-three sets to 21 points system. To ensure the fairness of the competition, the rules specially considered the physical differences between male and female teams and made corresponding score advantage adjustments. After fierce competition, the team made up with prof. Xu Weixin and his student Huang Kunlin won the championship with their outstanding performance, defeating the team of Wang Wei and He Linglin, who also done well and won the second place. The team of Wu Chengna and Xu Dandan, freshmen of the first year, bravely overcame challenges and entered the top four, ultimately winning the third place.

After the competition, everyone took a group photo for commemoration and exchanged thoughts, expressing the hope to continue the event next year to expand the influence of badminton. This competition not only showcased the sportsmanship of teachers and students but also promoted communication and cooperation among them, becoming an important part of campus cultural construction.
