CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Current Research Interests:

Urban Systems:

Urban metabolism (mainly focus on the method framework of material and energy flow analysis, and it’s application in analyzing and solving urban environmental problems)

Low-carbon city development and planning (mainly focus on evaluation and development planning of low-carbon city from regional energy flow perspective)

Urban complex air pollution (mainly focus on the evaluation of urban complex air pollution, and joint prevention and control)

Environmental Management and Policy:

Water assets accounts, Product-oriented environmental policy, waste and materials management (mainly focus on waste sorting recycle in China), etc.

Research Experience:

2003-2009

Mainly focus on material and energy flow analysis in Nankai University, my master thesis is: Research on Method and Application of Material Flow Analysis, Directed by Prof. Ju Meiting, Nankai University, 2006; and Ph.D thesis is: Research on Method and Application of Material Flow and Energy Flow Analysis in Environmental and Economic system, Directed by Prof. Ju Meiting, Nankai University, 2009.

In addition, I involved in drafting the proposals and implementation of some projects, such as NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China) project “Researching the ‘diagnose’ system and its application on regional environmental problems based on material and energy flow analysis” ; the project of Tianjin science and technology commission “Research on industry development direction and layout & environmental indicators in Binhai New Area of Tianjin”; and wrote a book “Industrial Ecology” as associate editor.

At the same time, I participated in compiling of several environmental impact assessment(EIA) projects and planning projects, such as “Urban environmental quality and environmental protection planning of Sanmenxia city”(supported by UNDP), “Strategic environmental assessment of Tianjin Binhai New Area” (supported by Tianjin Municipal Government), etc.

2009-present

Mainly focus on energy flow analysis, low-carbon economy, energy and environmental problems, etc. in Chengdu University of Information Technology.

I have led several projects as principal investigator, such as NSFC(Natural Science Foundation of China) project , key projects in Sichuan province department of education, etc.
