Education and Experience:

l  July 2014- to date: Lecturer in College of Resources and Environment, Chengdu University of Information Technology, Chengdu, China.

Majored in Ocean & Coastal Remote Sensing, especially in sea surface wind and current retrieval from SAR. And teaching Mathematical Methods in Geography and Microwave Remote Sensing

l  September 2009- June 2014: PhD candidate in State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China.

Majored in Ocean & Coastal Remote Sensing, especially in sea surface wind and current retrieval from SAR images.

l  January 2013- July 2013: International research fellow in ESA's European Space Research Institute (ESRIN), Frascati, Italy.

Majored in Ocean & Coastal Remote Sensing, especially in SAR Doppler velocity measurement.

l  July 2007- September 2009: Engineer in China Railway Tunnel Survey and Design Institute, co, LTD, Tianjin, China.

Mainly engaged in tunnel geological forecast.

l  September 2005-July 2007: M.Sc. candidate in College of Geo-exploration Science and Technology, Jilin University, Changchun, China.

Majored in Remote Sensing Technology and Application (Remote Sensing of Wetlands). Received MSC. Degree in Cartology and GIS.

l  September 2001-July 2005: Undergraduate student in College of Geo-exploration Science and Technology, Jilin University, Changchun, China. Received B.Sc. Degree in GIS.

 

Research Interests:

l  Coastal resources and environment RS, in particular, ASAR Doppler measurement, SAR wind retrieval, SAR calibration, and synergetic use of radar and optical satellite images to analyze driving factors of sea surface suspended sediment.

l  Detection of coral reefs communities using remote sensing.

l  RS and GIS applied in wetlands, in particular, wetlands extraction, Remote Sensing classification and wetland ecosystem health evaluation.

 

 

Skills:

l  Computer:skilled in using ArcGIS, ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE, NEST and MATLAB programs extensively;

l  English: excellent in English reading, writing & listening, good in speaking;

Research Experience:

l  Involved in “SAR based bathymetry inversion under shallow coastal waters”, Funded by the Nation Natural Science Foundation of China, ID 41476151, 2015-2018

Mainly concentrate on retrieval of sea surface current and bathymetry under shallow coastal waters based on ASAR.

l  Involved in Dragon 3 “Investigating Coastal Zone and open ocean dynamics and bio-optical conditions by satellite sensor synergy in combination with in-situ data and simulation models”, ID 10593, 2012-2016

Mainly concentrate on retrieval of Doppler velocity based on ASAR.

l  Involved in Dragon 2 “Estuarine, Inland and Coastal Water Quality Monitoring using Earth Observation Data”, ID 5351, 2008-2011.

Mainly concentrate on retrieval of sea surface wind from SAR.

l  Involved in “Integrated Assessment and the Corresponding Strategies of Coastal Vulnerability under Climate Change”, 973 project, the research of response mechanism and vulnerability assessment to climate change in China typical coastal zone system, Funded from the ministry of science and technology of China, 2010-2014.

Mainly concentrate on retrieval of ocean surface parameters using Radar and optical satellite images, such as ocean wind, waterline, spilling and sea surface suspended sediment. Analyze the driving factors of sea surface suspended sediment using the retrieved parameters.

l  Involved in “Sea Surface Suspended Sediment Patterns and Wetland Ecosystem Health Assessment in Nanhui Dongtan”, Funded from Shanghai Science Research, 2008-2011.

Concentrate mainly on the remote sensing retrieval and analysis of sea surface suspended sediment and the final report.

l  Involved in “Coastal Erosion Decision Support System for Changing River Delta”, Grant from the State Oceanic Administrator of China, 2007-2010.

Be mainly responsible for the data organization and the concluding report. 

l  Involved in “Study of Wetlands Survey and Assessment System in Shanghai”, Key project of Shanghai Forestry Bureau, 2009-2010.

Concentrate mainly on wetlands extraction and classification using SAR and optical RS in Dongtan Chongming.

l  Involved in “Geological Prediction Integrated Technology Study in LevelⅠLevel High-risk Railway Tunnel”, sponsored by The YuMeng (Yuxi-Mengzi) Railway Project Department of China Railway Group Limited, 2007-2009.

l  Involved in “Quaternary general geological remote sensing investigation in economic region of Song-liao Plain”, Grant from China Geological Survey, 2004-2007.

Focus on black soil area extraction, classification and data processing using Remote Sensing and GIS in Song-liao Plain, and take part in the Song-liao Plain field survey.

l  Involved in “Research on ecological and geological remote sensing investigation and monitoring in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau”, Grant from China Geological Survey, 2004-2007.

Focus mainly on wetlands extraction, classification and data processing using Remote Sensing and GIS in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and be involved in the field survey.
