I. Introduction to the Laboratory
This laboratory was established on the basis of long-term academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and personnel exchanges between Chengdu University of Information Technology in China and the University of Belgrade in Serbia, with strong support from the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Department. On October 9, 2019, at the Fourth China-CEEC (17+1) Innovation Cooperation Conference held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, the construction agreement for this joint laboratory was signed under the witness of Wang Zhigang, Minister of Science and Technology of China, and Minister Popovic of the Ministry of Innovation and Technological Development of Serbia. The laboratory is dedicated to research in areas such as the utilization of biomass energy, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and resource utilization.

IV. Introduction to the University of Belgrade
The University of Belgrade (in Serbian: Универзитет у Београду), established in 1863 and located in Belgrade, is the national university of Serbia and one of the most renowned institutions of higher education in the country. With a history spanning over a century, it is also one of the largest universities in the Balkan region. The origins of the University of Belgrade can be traced back to the Velika skola founded in Serbia in 1808. The faculties are spread across various districts of the capital, with the university's headquarters building located in the heart of Belgrade. It comprises 33 faculties, 8 research institutes, more than 5,000 teachers, and over 70,000 students. In the 2019 U.S. News & World Report's ranking of global universities, it was ranked 427th. In the 2020 QS World University Rankings, it was placed within the 801-1000 range.
