On the afternoon of June 24, 2025, at the invitation of Professor Deng Zhiyong, the person in charge of the key project of the Overseas Intellectual Services System, Professor Anne Giroir-Fendler (University Claude Bernard Lyon 1), Professor Marc Pera Titus (Cardiff University), Professor Cai Weijie (Dalian Polytechnic University), Professor Wang Fagen (Jiangsu University), Professor Zhang Chuanhui (Qingdao University), Professor Deng Zhiyong (Chengdu University of Information Technology) and other scholars conducted academic discussions on the theoretical system, sensing methods, governance technologies, regulation approaches and management practices for the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon emission reduction.

A number of faculty members and graduate students from the college participated in the discussion, which effectively promoted academic exchanges and ideological collisions.
