On the afternoon of March 28th, the School of Resources and Environment organized a unique training event for its young faculty members, aiming to further enhance their professional competence and teaching skills. Associate Professor Cen Qi from the Sichuan Film and Television University was specially invited to deliver the training, which was themed "Pronunciation Skills and Grooming and Posture." The event was designed to assist young teachers in improving their language expression abilities and personal images, laying a solid foundation for their future teaching endeavors.
At the beginning of the training, Associate Professor Cen Qi posed the question, "How to capture students' attention like a movie?" highlighting the significance of pronunciation skills in teaching. He pointed out that clear and accurate pronunciation not only aids teachers in better conveying knowledge but also enhances communication effectiveness with students. Subsequently, through vivid examples and detailed explanations, Associate Professor Cen imparted practical techniques on how to correctly utilize breath control and pronunciation, along with small exercises for adjusting breathing.
Regarding grooming and posture, Associate Professor Cen Qi also provided invaluable advice to the young teachers. He believed that a good appearance and demeanor are crucial components of a teacher's professional competence, reflecting their professional image and approachability. He emphasized the need for gradual improvement in daily behavior and attire to help cultivate a more appropriate and confident teacher image.
Throughout the training, the young teachers listened attentively and actively participated, expressing that they had gained much from the experience. They stated that, through this training, they had not only learned a lot of knowledge but also deeply understood the professional competence and sense of responsibility that a teacher should possess. The training helped broaden their horizons and perspectives, enabling them to continuously enhance their teaching proficiency and overall qualities, thus contributing to nurturing more outstanding talents. It is believed that in the near future, these young teachers will shine even more brightly in their respective positions.
