In order to further promote the construction of scientific ethics and academic integrity, cultivate high-quality research talents, and enhance the integrity level of academic research, on the afternoon of October 31, 2024, some teachers and full-time graduate students of the 2024 academic year from the College of Resources and Environment gathered in Room 221 of the Resources and Environment Building to watch the live webcast of the 2024 Sichuan Provincial Education Report on Scientific Ethics and Academic Integrity Construction.

The meeting invited Yang Zhenglin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Association, and President of the Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, as well as Chen Shilin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chief Professor of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to give educational reports on the topics of "Carrying Forward the Spirit of Scientists and Being Medical Researchers in the New Era" and "Cultural Confidence Promotes Self-Reliance and Self-Improvement in Science and Technology", respectively, focusing on the spirit of scientists and excellent academic integrity. These reports aimed to encourage scientists, researchers, and young students to further promote the scientific spirit, practice the spirit of scientists, adhere to scientific ethics, follow scientific norms, and strive to be pioneers of innovation in the new era.

This report not only enhanced the participants' understanding of scientific ethics but also further promoted the in-depth development of academic integrity construction within the entire college. It guided teachers and students to strengthen their ideological and practical consciousness in abiding by research integrity and ethical norms, jointly creating a clean and upright academic ecosystem, and laying a solid foundation for building a more honest and harmonious research environment.
