In order to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, carry forward the great spirit of founding the Party, further inherit the red genes, and gather the strength to move forward, the School of Resources and Environment conducted a series of activities to celebrate the eve of "July 1st" and the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

From June 28th to 30th, the Teacher Party Branch organized a themed party day activity titled "Passing on the Torch, Forging the Soul with Party Spirit" at the Jianmen Pass Red Army Battle Site in Jianmen Pass, Guangyuan, Sichuan. The party members visited the memorial hall, where they learned about the heroic deeds of the Red Fourth Army as they marched westward from the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Area and engaged in a bloody battle at the "Bird Road Perilous Pass" of Jianmen Pass. The heroic feat of capturing Jianmen Pass created a miracle in military history, and the glorious history of the Red Army in the Jianmen Pass mountainous region embodied the blood and faith of the revolutionary martyrs.

Meanwhile, the secretaries of the First, Second, and Third Teaching Staff Branches, Xian Wei, Deng Zhiyong, and Zhao Miao, gave party lessons and led the teachers and party members in their branches to collectively study the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations"). The teachers were enthusiastic and actively participated in the "Regulations" knowledge quiz and revolutionary song chorus. The on-site visit deeply impressed them with the noble spirit and firm belief of the revolutionary martyrs, reminding them to remember history and inherit the spirit. The lively and diverse learning forms of the "Regulations" knowledge quiz and chorus enhanced the learning effect, further clarified discipline, and strengthened party spirit awareness and cohesion.

On July 1st, all party members gathered in Meeting Room 221 of the Resources and Environment Building to watch an educational warning video on party discipline. By watching the video, they deepened their understanding of the content of the "Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions of the Communist Party of China" and the importance of abiding by party disciplines and state laws, thereby enhancing their sense of integrity, self-discipline, and risk prevention abilities.

After the screening, Secretary Li Ju and Deputy Secretary Xu Chenghua explained the content of the "Regulations" to all teacher party members. They elaborated on political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, mass discipline, work discipline, and life discipline, as well as their connotations and requirements. Teacher party members should deeply understand the significance of the "Regulations", raise their ideological awareness, and strictly implement them in talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services.

Renewing the Oath of Joining the Party. Led by the oath administrator Xian Wei, the party members clenched their right fists and solemnly swore, "I voluntarily join the Communist Party of China, uphold the party's program, abide by the party's constitution, fulfill the obligations of a party member, implement the party's decisions, strictly observe party discipline, keep the party's secrets, be loyal to the party, actively work, strive for communism throughout my life, and be ready at any time to sacrifice everything for the party and the people, and never betray the party." Renewing the oath of joining the party is a profound education in party spirit, and party members must continuously improve their qualities and abilities, actively playing a leading and exemplary role in their future work.

Through the series of activities, the party members were able to once again recall and remember their original aspirations and missions when they joined the Party, strengthen their sense of party spirit and discipline, inspire their sense of responsibility and mission, promote communication and unity among party members, enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the party organization, and contribute their own strength to the Party and the cause of education.
